Meet Rai Faisal Aslam, an accomplished professional with a Master’s degree in Industrial and Engineering Management from Saint Cloud State University, USA, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from UET Lahore. With a strong background in manufacturing, quality control, and business development, he has worked with some of the world’s leading apparel brands, including Adidas, Reebok, Nike, Walmart, PVH, Fruit of the Loom, Champs, AGRON Inc, and JC Penny.
Rai Faisal is a Global UGRAD alumnus, having completed a Semester Exchange Program at Jamestown Community College (SUNY JCC, New York), where he was recognized on the Dean’s List for academic excellence. He further honed his expertise by attending the Global UGRAD Alumni Academy in Bangkok, Thailand, where he trained in Project Design, Community Assessment, Project Implementation, Diversity & Inclusion, and Ethical Leadership.
Professionally, he served as the Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager at Lucky Knits Pvt. Ltd., where he implemented Lean Six Sigma, 7QC tools, and 5S methodologies to enhance production efficiency and quality control. His expertise in Root Cause Analysis, defect reduction, and process optimization significantly improved operational efficiency and product quality.
Currently, Rai Faisal is the Co-founder and Head of Business Development at Sharknits Manufacturing, an apparel and textile manufacturing company. He successfully identified and captured a niche market in the U.S., specializing in customized apparel manufacturing for small businesses and streetwear brands. Under his leadership, Sharknits Manufacturing expanded its supply chain to Pakistan, China, and Vietnam, creating 80+ jobs and generating annual revenues of ~$1.4 million. His strategic approach introduced Digital Product Passports, ensuring an ethically and sustainably sourced apparel supply chain.
Beyond his professional achievements, Rai Faisal is passionate about giving back to the community. He has led mental health awareness initiatives, winning the Big Idea Challenge Grant for his project on “Empowering Communities through Mental Health Resilience.” Additionally, he has contributed to water sanitation and rural health initiatives and supported education and youth development programs, making a meaningful impact on various communities.

Determined to excel, he earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from U.S. institutions, gaining first hand experience in adapting to a new academic, cultural and social system, securing highly competitive funding opportunities, and navigating the immigration process. Now he works as a Senior RF Engineer in the Telecom industry. His transition from student to professional in the U.S. has given him a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in a competitive global environment.
